Hares are not known for their grace, but in Hilary we find a hare of tremendous poise. Here, she is captured in a moment of stillness but her ears stand to attention and her nose twitches as though any moment those strong front legs might spring into action. This is a sculpture of tremendous energy which you can almost see shimmering in the deep bronze finish.

About the artist:
Paul Jenkins was trained at Dudley College of Art. He is best known for his skill at creating cat sculpture but his ability to create such beautiful sculptures in many different forms is a testament to his talent.
